Job summary

NVITAFE is seeking a part-time Senior Secondary Teacher for GOTAFE to deliver VCE-VM and VPC subjects in small classes (10–15). You will leverage your vocational knowledge to support learners and contribute to student welfare and academic success.

The role offers flexible work arrangements and opportunities for professional development, with salary aligned to the Victorian TAFE Teaching Staff Agreement.

Qualifications

  • VIT registration preferred or hold an ITE-accredited qualification and be willing to obtain VIT registration.
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE) qualification preferred.
  • Experience delivering secondary education and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver VCE-VM subjects (Literacy, Numeracy, Personal Development Skills, and Work Related Skills) and VPC.
  • Build meaningful connections with students in small classes of 10–15.
  • Provide support resources and assessment tools to enhance learning and student outcomes.

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join GOTAFE as a Teacher Senior Secondary for two days per week. In this role you will use your teaching and vocational knowledge and experience to ensure excellent outcomes for learners across VCE-VM subjects (Literacy, Numeracy, Personal Development Skills, andWork RelatedSkills) and VPC, the communities they are a part of and their future employers. At GOTAFE you will be able to build meaningful connections with your students due to small class sizes of 10-15 students and experience greater flexibility and autonomy compared to traditional secondary schools.

About you

You will bring:

  • Victorian Institute of Training (VIT) Registration (preferred) or hold an ITE-accredited qualification (e.g. a Bachelor of Education) and are able and willing to obtain VIT registration

OR; Currently studying/working towards obtaining an ITE-accredited qualification

OR;A professional qualification in any area with experience working in a school
environment

  • A current Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE) Qualification preferred.
  • Experience in delivering secondary education.
  • High level interpersonal skills.
