Job summary

Code Camp Ltd is Australia’s leading provider of school holiday and after-school tech programs. We’re hiring facilitators/educators, ideal for uni students studying Education or Software Engineering, seeking hands-on experience with kids while building confidence in tech and leadership.

You will lead a small class using our lesson plans, deliver engaging activities in tech and creativity, and receive paid training with ongoing online support. Laptop and HDMI adapter required.

Qualifications

• Valid Blue Card (or willing to obtain immediately).
• Prior experience working with or around young kids (aged 5-12) is essential as this role involves leading a class.
• Tech-savvy with an interest in science, tech and creativity.
• Mature outlook, common sense and the ability to supervise children.
• Great customer service when speaking to school staff or parents.
• Fluent conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Lead a class of primary-aged children using provided lesson plans.
• Deliver engaging activities in coding, Minecraft, animation, science and creativity.
• Participate in paid training and ongoing support from our online tech-support team.
• Bring your own laptop and HDMI adapter for personal use.

Looking for a fun and flexible casual job that will work around your schedule? Code Camp is Australia’s leading provider of school holiday and after-school tech programs, and we’re currently hiring facilitators/educators!

This role is ideal for uni students, for example, studying Education, Software Engineering, Video Game Development, etc. looking for hands-on experience working with kids while building confidence and skills in tech and leadership.

Is this you?:

• Experienced or interested in working with kids aged 5 - 12

• Passionate about fields such as coding, minecraft, animation, science and creativity

• Able to work approx 3pm - 5pm once a week over 8 weeks at a school near you

• Someone who feels confident speaking in front of a group, is enthusiastic and a good problem solver

• Trustworthy, independent, punctual, and reliable

• Looking to get more experience and references for your resume

About the position:

• Our North Lakes location runs Tuesdays during Term 4 (other days of work are available for the right person)

• You will be provided our fun easy-to-follow lesson plan to deliver to a small class of primary-aged children

• Paid training provided as well as constant support from a our online tech-support team

• Staff are required to supply their own Laptop and HDMI adapter for personal use
