Job summary

Code Camp Ltd. is hiring facilitators/educators for after-school and school-holiday tech programs. The Mount Nathan location runs on Wednesdays during Term 4, with other days available for the right person.

You’ll teach a small class of primary-aged children using our lesson plan, with paid training and ongoing online support. The role suits university students in Education, Software Engineering, or related fields who enjoy hands-on teaching, leadership, and building confidence in tech.

Qualifications

• Valid Blue Card (or willing to obtain immediately)
• Experience with or around kids aged 5–12 is essential
• Tech-savvy with interest in science, tech and creativity
• Mature, sensible and able to supervise children
• Excellent customer service when talking to school staff or parents
• Fluent conversational English

Responsibilities

• Deliver a ready-made lesson plan to a small class of primary-aged children
• Attend paid training and receive ongoing online support
• Work ~2 hours (3pm–5pm) weekly on Wednesdays during Term 4 at Mount Nathan
• Bring your own laptop and HDMI adapter for personal use

Looking for a fun and flexible casual job that will work around your schedule? Code Camp is Australia’s leading provider of school holiday and after-school tech programs, and we’re currently hiring facilitators/educators!

This role is ideal for uni students, for example, studying Education, Software Engineering, Video Game Development, etc. looking for hands-on experience working with kids while building confidence and skills in tech and leadership.

Is this you?:

• Experienced or interested in working with kids aged 5 - 12
• Passionate about fields such as coding, minecraft, animation, science and creativity
• Able to work approx 3pm - 5pm once a week over 8 weeks at a school near you
• Someone who feels confident speaking in front of a group, is enthusiastic and a good problem solver
• Trustworthy, independent, punctual, and reliable
• Looking to get more experience and references for your resume

About the position:

• Our Mount Nathan location runs Wednesdays during Term 4 (other days of work are available for the right person)
• You will be provided our fun easy-to-follow lesson plan to deliver to a small class of primary-aged children
• Paid training provided as well as constant support from a our online tech-support team
• Staff are required to supply their own Laptop and HDMI adapter for personal use

Required Skills/Certifications:

While we don’t require a specific degree, you should have some or all of the following:

• Valid Blue Card (or willing to obtain immediately)
• Prior experience working with or being around young kids (aged 5 - 12) is essential as this role involves leading a class
• Tech-savvy with an interest in science, tech and creativity
• Mature outlook, common sense and the ability to supervise children
• Great customer service when speaking to school staff or parents
