Job summary

Code Camp Ltd is seeking casual facilitators/educators in Adelaide to run after-school programs for primary-aged children. You will deliver ready-made lesson plans, engage students in coding, Minecraft, animation, and related activities, and collaborate with staff to ensure a positive learning experience.

Training is paid, and you will receive ongoing support from our online tech team. A laptop and HDMI adapter are required for personal use at the school sites.

Qualifications

• Valid Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain immediately.
• RHHAN-EC Masterclass for Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect or willingness to obtain immediately.
• Prior experience with or around children aged 5–12 is essential as you will lead a class.
• Tech-savvy with an interest in science, tech and creativity.
• Mature, reliable, punctual and customer-focused when interacting with staff or parents.
• Fluent conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a small-class program from provided lesson plans at Adelaide CBD sites.
• Attend paid training and receive ongoing support from our online tech-support team.
• Represent Code Camp professionally and supervise students in a safe, engaging environment.

Looking for a fun and flexible casual job that will work around your schedule? Code Camp is Australia's leading provider of school holiday and after-school tech programs, and we're currently hiring facilitators/educators!

This role is ideal for uni students, for example, studying Education, Software Engineering, Video Game Development, etc. looking for hands-on experience working with kids while building confidence and skills in tech and leadership.

Is this you?

• Experienced or interested in working with kids aged 5 - 12

• Passionate about fields such as coding, minecraft, animation, science and creativity

• Able to work approx 3pm - 5pm once a week over 8 weeks at a school near you

• Someone who feels confident speaking in front of a group, is enthusiastic and a good problem solver

• Trustworthy, independent, punctual, and reliable

• Looking to get more experience and references for your resume

About the position:

• Our Adelaide CBD locations run Monday - Wednesday during Term 4 (work on the days that suit your schedule)

• You will be provided our fun easy-to-follow lesson plan to deliver to a small class of primary-aged children

• Paid training provided as well as constant support from a our online tech-support team

• Staff are required to supply their own Laptop and HDMI adapter for personal use

Required Skills/Certifications:

While we don't require a specific degree, you should have some or all of the following:

• Valid Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain immediately)

• Valid RHHAN-EC - Masterclass for Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (or willing to obtain immediately)

• Prior experience working with or being around young kids (aged 5 - 12) is essential as this role involves leading a class
