Job summary

Code Camp Ltd. is hiring facilitators/educators to lead small groups of primary-aged children in engaging tech activities after school and during school holidays.

Ideal candidates are student educators with a passion for coding, science and creativity, who can present confidently, manage a class, and provide safe, supportive supervision for 5–12 year olds.

Qualifications

• Valid WA Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain immediately).
• Prior experience working with or around young kids (5–12) is essential as this role involves leading a class.
• Tech-savvy with an interest in science, tech and creativity.
• Mature outlook, common sense and the ability to supervise children.
• Great customer service when speaking to school staff or parents.
• Fluent conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver our fun, easy-to-follow lesson plan to a small class of primary-aged children.
• Provide training and ongoing support from our online tech-support team.
• Staff must supply their own laptop and HDMI adapter for personal use.

Looking for a fun and flexible casual job that will work around your schedule? Code Camp is Australia’s leading provider of school holiday and after-school tech programs, and we’re currently hiring facilitators/educators!

This role is ideal for uni students, for example, studying Education, Software Engineering, Video Game Development, etc. looking for hands‑on experience working with kids while building confidence and skills in tech and leadership.

Is this you?

• Experienced or interested in working with kids aged 5 - 12
• Passionate about fields such as coding, minecraft, animation, science and creativity
• Able to work approximately 3pm - 5pm once a week over 8 weeks at a school near you
• Someone who feels confident speaking in front of a group, is enthusiastic and a good problem solver
• Trustworthy, independent, punctual, and reliable

About the position:

• You will be provided our fun easy-to-follow lesson plan to deliver to a small class of primary-aged children
• Paid training provided as well as constant support from a our online tech-support team
• Staff are required to supply their own Laptop and HDMI adapter for personal use

Required Skills/Certifications:

While we don’t require a specific degree, you should have some or all of the following:
