Job summary

Code Camp Ltd is looking for casual facilitators/educators to run after-school and school holiday tech programs for kids aged 5-12. You’ll deliver engaging lessons from our plan, inspire confidence in tech and leadership, and enjoy a flexible 3pm-5pm schedule weekly over 8 weeks.

Ideal candidates are university students studying Education or technology, comfortable speaking to groups, reliable, and enthusiastic about building hands-on STEM skills in a fun environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Working With Children Check (WA) or willingness to obtain immediately.
• Prior experience working with or around young children (ages 5–12) is essential.
• Fluent conversational English; strong communication with school staff and parents.
• Tech-savvy with interest in science, tech and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons using the provided plan to a small class of primary-aged children.
• Attend paid training and receive ongoing support from our online tech-support team.
• Bring your own laptop and HDMI adapter for personal use.

Looking for a fun and flexible casual job that will work around your schedule? Code Camp is Australia’s leading provider of school holiday and after-school tech programs, and we’re currently hiring facilitators/educators!

This role is ideal for uni students, for example, studying Education, Software Engineering, Video Game Development, etc. looking for hands-on experience working with kids while building confidence and skills in tech and leadership.

Is this you?

• Experienced or interested in working with kids aged 5 - 12

• Passionate about fields such as coding, mine craft, animation, science and creativity

• Able to work approximately 3pm - 5pm once a week over 8 weeks at a school near you

• Someone who feels confident speaking in front of a group, is enthusiastic and a good problem solver

• Trustworthy, independent, punctual, and reliable

About the position:

• Our Landsdale location has upcoming casual work available on Tuesdays (more days + locations of work in the Northern suburbs of Perth available for the right staff member!)

• You will be provided our fun easy-to-follow lesson plan to deliver to a small class of primary-aged children

• Paid training provided as well as constant support from a our online tech-support team

• Staff are required to supply their own Laptop and HDMI adapter for personal use

Required Skills/Certifications:

While we don’t require a specific degree, you should have some or all of the following:

• Valid Employee WA Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain immediately)

• Prior experience working with or being around young kids (aged 5 - 12) is essential as this role involves leading a class

• Tech-savvy with an interest in science, tech and creativity

• Mature outlook, common sense and the ability to supervise children

• Great customer service when speaking to school staff or parents

• Fluent conversational English
