Job summary

Optimum Consulting is seeking an in-house Talent Acquisition professional to lead full-cycle recruitment from Brisbane head office. You will headhunt, build talent pools and act as a trusted adviser to hiring managers in a large corporate environment.

Reporting to the General Manager People, you will partner across Marketing, Finance, HR, Projects and Admin, nurture passive candidates, coordinate vacancy profiles, and coach managers on interviewing.

Qualifications

• Solid experience recruiting corporate candidates across multiple functions (Marketing, Finance, HR, Projects, Commercial).
• Proven headhunting track record with passive candidate sourcing.
• Experience keeping a talent pool warm and ready for roles.
• Strong relationships with hiring managers and the ability to push back when needed.
• Resource planning experience and familiarity with recruitment systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment process from brief to offer and onboarding.
• Head hunt and source across platforms for multiple roles.
• Build and nurture talent pools for future openings.
• Collaborate with managers on vacancy requirements and profiles.
• Coach managers on interview techniques and recruitment processes.
• Oversee pre-employment checks and licensing requirements.
• Manage agency relationships and negotiate terms.
• Maintain accurate data in JobAdder/Workforce Ready and report on metrics.
• Support employer branding and careers content; provide HR admin assistance.

Job description

We are seeking an in-house TA for a large corporate HQ. You'll report to the General Manager People and know how to run full cycle recruitment. The role focuses on proactive headhunting, building talent pools and acting as a trusted adviser to hiring managers. This is an office-based role at the company's Brisbane head office.

What You'll Be Doing

• Running recruitment from brief to start date: ads, shortlisting, phone screens, interviews, references, verbal offers and contracts
• Headhunting and sourcing across multiple platforms for Marketing, Finance, HR, Project Management, Commercial and Admin roles
• Building and nurturing talent pools so good people are ready when roles open up
• Working with managers on vacancy requirements, resource planning and the profile of the ideal hire
• Coaching managers on interviewing and recommending better ways to recruit
• Pre-employment screening, including Working with Children Checks, police checks and licensing
• Managing agency relationships and helping negotiate terms
• Keeping JobAdder and Workforce Ready accurate and up to date
• Reporting on recruitment data and finding where the process can improve
• Supporting employer branding, the careers social pages and company review responses
• Providing general HR admin and project support to the People team

• A valid National Police Check and full working rights in Australia
