Job summary

The Social Services Regulator (SSR) invites applications for a Systems Analyst role based in Melbourne. This fixed term / secondment position supports data driven decision making and robust systems across SSR's core applications.

Working within the ICT and Business Intelligence Branch, you will design and modify systems to meet business needs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security and reliability. You will also develop specifications, create training materials, and document processes for

Qualifications

• Identify, analyze and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Develop and update data models and system specifications.
• Collaborate with ICT and BI teams to deliver robust enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Design new systems or modify existing systems to meet business requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to SSR core systems
• Ensure systems are efficient, reliable, meet expectations and are secure
• Creates user and trainer documentation, and conducts formal training classes
• Develops functional specifications for use by system developers
• Uses data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specifications for the design and development of system software
• Acts as a central reference and information source, providing guidance and assistance in the system project decision making process
