Job summary

Rent A Space Self Storage (Gropac Pty Ltd) is seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator to support our IT environment across Sydney locations. Based at Moore Park (42 O'Dea Ave) with occasional travel to other sites, you will manage Windows systems, networks, and key business platforms, ensuring uptime, security and efficiency.

You'll work with management, external IT providers and vendors on upgrades, projects and cybersecurity improvements, while delivering day-to-day support to store managers

Qualifications

• A degree or relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in systems administration and network administration or similar hands-on IT role.
• Good working knowledge of Windows and Windows Server environments.
• Practical understanding of TCP/IP networking, DHCP, routers, firewalls, VPNs and Wi‑Fi.
• Experience managing user accounts, permissions and access controls.
• Experience supporting business applications and cloud-based systems.
• Understanding of backup, patch management and IT security practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows systems, Windows Server and related IT infrastructure across multiple locations.
• Configure, deploy and troubleshoot routers, firewalls, VPNs, DHCP, Wi‑Fi and network connectivity.
• Monitor systems and networks and investigate hardware, software, application and connectivity issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, email accounts and access to company systems and resources.
• Administer and support key business platforms including SiteLink, StorLogix and other operational applications.
• Maintain system backups and recovery processes, including verification and restoration.
• Support CCTV, NVRs, electronic access-control systems and other network-connected security equipment.
• Provide day-to-day IT support to store managers and employees, remotely and on-site.
• Manage firewall rules, secure remote access, network segmentation and security controls.
• Assist with Windows security, patching and cybersecurity improvements.
• Coordinate with external IT providers and vendors on projects and issues.
• Assist with rollout of new IT infrastructure, applications and websites.
• Investigate recurring technical issues and propose improvements.
