Job summary

The Industry School in Brisbane, Australia seeks a proactive Systems Administrator to maintain and secure our Microsoft technology stack, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Windows Server, SQL Server and Veeam. You’ll operate within a hybrid cloud environment and serve as a technical escalation point for secure, reliable, high-performing systems.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors and partners, contributing to automation, cybersecurity, infrastructure

Qualifications

• Qualification in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated systems administration experience in Microsoft environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Intune, Veeam Backup & Recovery.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and IT service management principles.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Entra ID, Active Directory and Intune environments.
• Monitor, maintain and optimise infrastructure, cloud platforms, backups and disaster recovery solutions.
• Manage identity, access and security controls, including MFA, Conditional Access and platform hardening.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, acting as an escalation point for infrastructure and platform services.
• Develop and improve automation using PowerShell and operational tooling.
• Support Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server and data platform services.
• Collaborate with vendors, managed service providers and internal teams to deliver reliable technology solutions.
• Contribute to technology projects, cybersecurity initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
