Job summary

PolyNovo Limited is seeking a Systems Administrator in Melbourne to maintain a secure, reliable end-user technology environment. You’ll onboard new starters, manage devices, and support Microsoft 365, Defender, and Intune while driving ongoing improvements.

You will balance hands-on IT support with proactive system maintenance, ensuring patching, compliance, and asset management across the business. The role requires effective communication with stakeholders and teamwork within a small IT team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as Systems Administrator or IT Support.
• Experience supporting end-user computing environments and onboarding.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Windows endpoints.
• Experience with patching, compliance, and device refresh programs.
• Experience monitoring backups and working with MSPs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage user accounts, laptops, mobile devices and system access for new and existing employees.
• Deliver IT onboarding and induction activities for new starters.
• Manage the lifecycle of end-user devices, including procurement, deployment, refreshes and asset tracking.
• Monitor and maintain Microsoft 365 services, backups and system availability.
• Ensure workstation patching and compliance standards are maintained across the business.
• Support Microsoft Intune, Defender and endpoint management activities.
• Provide Level 1 technical support, including priority and executive user requests, while liaising with external managed service providers when required.
• Maintain and troubleshoot end-user devices, applications, mobile devices, connectivity and meeting room technology.
• Monitor and coordinate maintenance of CCTV and audiovisual systems.
• Manage IT inventory and equipment stock levels to support business operations.
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, support procedures, asset records and configuration information.
• Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding incidents, service requests and planned IT activities.
• Contribute to compliance, quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
