Russell Kennedy in Melbourne is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to join our Digital - ICT Operations team. You will assist with technical deliverables, manage security and access, and support both on‑premises and cloud environments.

The role emphasizes disaster recovery testing, ITSM practices, and hands‑on maintenance of modern Microsoft/VMware/Citrix stacks, with a security‑first mindset and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of IT Support, Service Desk, Desktop Support or similar role.
• Exposure to Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory/Entra ID, Windows Server and networking.
• ITSM framework experience and documentation, troubleshooting, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical deliverables within projects.
• Support disaster recovery tests and security through email protection, web filtering and DLP.
• Maintain enterprise directory services and MFA for cloud and on‑premises access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tickets escalated from Helpdesk.
• Provide on‑premises and cloud support, installations, upgrades, testing and backups.
• Follow a cyber security first approach and stay informed on threats.
