Job summary

Harry Maxwell is recruiting an experienced Systems Administrator to join their IS&T team across Australia. You will own day-to-day systems administration, work with project sites and external vendors to keep infrastructure, security and endpoint systems running smoothly.

The role covers on-premises and cloud environments, Intune, Entra ID, Defender XDR, and backup processes, with emphasis on delivering reliable IT services across corporate and site operations. Australian working rights required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in a Systems Administrator role with focus on infrastructure, not desktop support.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 admin centre, Entra ID (Conditional Access, PIM), Intune, Defender XDR and Sentinel.
• Advanced knowledge of SharePoint Online administration.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills across corporate and project teams.
• Full Australian working rights – Australian citizens and permanent residents only, no visa holders.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of corporate and project IT systems, including monitoring, configuration, maintenance and repairs.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery processes, restoring data within agreed timeframes.
• Patch and upgrade hardware and software with internal staff and external vendors.
• Lead third-level support, resolving issues within SLAs.
• Design, deploy and maintain hardware and software for remote project sites.
• Manage endpoint and identity controls using Intune, Entra ID and Defender XDR, and support Conditional Access and Entra PIM.
