Amazon is seeking a System Development Engineer to build, operate, monitor, and assure the AWS network within Australia in a regional context. You will own full-stack services and automation across the region, partnering with global teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

You will design and implement new components, diagnose issues at code and system levels, and drive permanent fixes that reduce recurring problems. The role emphasizes automation, monitoring, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficient in at least one modern language (Python, Java, Go, etc.).
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
• Experience with distributed systems at scale.
