Job summary

Amazon is seeking a System Development Engineer, Core Networking, with relocation support in Australia. You will build, operate, monitor, and improve the network software services that run the regional AWS network, driving automation and reliability.

You’ll work across languages and frameworks, partnering with global teams to deliver scalable, secure connectivity. Relocation assistance is offered to candidates in Sydney or Melbourne.

Qualifications

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming in modern languages listed (Python, Ruby, Go, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with CI/CD build pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own software services and platforms that keep the AWS network running in the region and continuously reinvent them for efficiency and resilience.
• Manage deployments, troubleshoot operational issues, and maintain service health while driving permanent solutions to recurring problems.
• Design and implement new software components to improve operational efficiency and automation across services.
• Collaborate with global service teams to ensure reliable deployments and effective problem resolution.
