The Role

In this opportunity, you’ll deploy, administer and troubleshoot physical and virtual infrastructure supporting AI, ML and HPC workloads. We welcome both L2 administrators ready to broaden their skills and experienced L3 specialists who can take ownership of complex incidents and technical challenges. Responsibilities will be aligned to your experience.

You’ll work closely with infrastructure, data centre and technical operations teams, with exposure to large-scale GPU infrastructure and high-performance AI environments.

The role reports to the Head of Operations and collaborates with specialists across the business.

Sydney is preferred, with Australia-wide remote or hybrid arrangements available.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Linux production systems.
  • Rack, stack and cable servers, networking and storage equipment in data centres.
  • Administer KVM/libvirt virtualisation environments and supporting compute workloads.
  • Deploy, operate and troubleshoot containers and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Support DNS, routing, firewalls and network diagnostics.
  • Maintain high-speed and clustered storage platforms and resolve server, GPU and hardware faults.
  • Apply security patches, manage system configuration and support PKI/TLS and encryption controls.
  • Monitor availability, performance and system health, identifying opportunities to improve reliability.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve incidents and optimise AI and HPC infrastructure; at L3 level, lead complex escalations, root-cause analysis and technical improvements.
What We’re Looking For
  • Around 5-7+ years’ experience in systems administration, cloud infrastructure or technical operations; applications are welcome from both L2 and L3 professionals.
  • Strong Linux administration skills and sound foundations in networking, virtualisation and hardware.
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues methodically across physical and virtual environments, with senior candidates able to independently resolve complex escalations.
  • Good communication, attention to detail and a collaborative approach.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach, with an interest in growing technical capability or mentoring others at a senior level.
Nice to have
  • Kubernetes and KVM/libvirt administration experience.
  • Experience in HPC, GPU infrastructure or cloud compute environments.
