Job summary

Aptella Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on Surveyor for field-based work across Queensland's civil and road projects. You will perform set-out and as-built surveys, support construction activities, and manage survey data with leading equipment like Leica and Trimble.

Ideal candidates have a surveying degree and experience in road or infrastructure surveying, with strong attention to detail, safety focus, and data processing proficiency. Opportunities exist on major transport projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Surveying or related discipline is required.
• Experience in road, civil or infrastructure surveying is essential.
• Strong understanding of roadworks, alignment, levels and set-out is expected.
• Proficiency with survey equipment and data processing software is required.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills and a safety-first mindset are important.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-out, control, and as-built surveys across road and civil projects.
• Support road construction works including alignment, levels, drainage, and pavement.
• Capture, process, and manage accurate survey data.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams.
• Operate and maintain modern surveying equipment and software (e.g. Leica, Trimble).
• Ensure compliance with WHS, site safety, and quality standards.
• Support quality assurance through accurate checks and reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in survey processes and technology use.

• Support road construction works including alignment, levels, drainage, and pavement
• Capture, process, and manage accurate survey data

• Operate and maintain modern surveying equipment and software (e.g. Leica, Trimble)
• Ensure compliance with WHS, site safety, and quality standards
• Support quality assurance through accurate checks and reporting
• Contribute to continuous improvement in survey processes and technology use

About You

You are a hands-on, detail-focused surveyor who thrives in dynamic construction environments.

You bring:

• Degree qualification in Surveying or related discipline
• Experience in road, civil, or infrastructure surveying

• Proficiency with survey equipment and data processing software
