Job summary

4020 Consult Pty Ltd is seeking a Construction Surveyor to lead surveying on civil construction projects in Bundaberg. You will manage survey requirements, produce QA reports and assist in delivering quality outcomes with Trimble and 12D systems.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Survey Board of Queensland is required.
• Experience on road construction projects or transport infrastructure.
• Proficiency with 12D Model and Trimble systems.
• Ability to create, upload and report survey activities.
• White Card and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Contract Quality Representatives, Project Engineers and Project Managers on survey requirements.
• Generate conformance reports and report QA issues, non-conformances and rectification processes.
• Perform civil survey activities including as-built, monitoring and work-as-executed surveys.
• Conduct survey calculations and manage survey data.
• Use survey equipment and control systems, including Trimble machines and 12D software.
• Produce accurate volume and area reports from survey fieldwork.
• Analyse design plans to identify potential issues.
• Review construction documents for client quality requirements, including survey records.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with client site representatives.
• Maintain survey equipment, perform self-testing and arrange third-party calibration as required.

What You’ll Do

This is a strategic and hands-on surveying role responsible for managing survey requirements on civil construction projects, supporting quality outcomes, meeting client expectations and helping deliver strong project results.

About You

• Survey qualifications as required for registration with the Survey Board of Queensland
• Experience on road construction projects and/or other transport infrastructure
• Experience using 12D Model Software and Trimble Machine Control Systems
• Ability to apply survey principles to civil infrastructure construction
• Ability to investigate and report on non-conforming work
• Computer literacy for generating, uploading and reporting survey activities
• Queensland construction safety requirement / White Card
• Current vehicle licence
