Job summary

Macquarie Group seeks a Surveillance Program Manager to oversee the data-loss, privacy and risk-focused surveillance across Banking and Financial Services. You will triage alerts, investigate breaches and work with Risk Management to improve controls and policies.

You will partner with teams across personal banking, business banking and wealth management to ensure risk is managed effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Commerce or similar.
• 3+ years of Risk, Compliance or Surveillance roles with data loss prevention knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills to identify trends and uplift internal controls.
• Proven communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Curious, independent thinker capable of handling complex tasks.
• Ability to deliver in a fast-paced, output-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the communications surveillance monitoring program for Banking and Financial Services.
• Triage and investigate alerts relating to potential data loss events, compliance breaches, and security concerns.
• Evaluate cases across privacy, conduct and operational risk.
• Govern the surveillance program and deliver efficiency improvements; implement new policies with Risk Management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across personal banking, business banking and wealth management.
