Job summary

Buderim Private Hospital is seeking aClinical Nurse for the Surgical Ward to deliver high-quality patient care in a busy perioperative environment. You will supervise a multi-disciplinary team, provide guidance, and be the CN in charge after hours and on weekends when rostered.

Applicants should have at least 3 years’ acute hospital experience, a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent with AHPRA registration, and a commitment to leadership, ongoing development and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent with AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, support and mentorship.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritise ward clinical load.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and infection-control vaccinations.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care in the Surgical Ward.
• Lead by example within a multi‑disciplinary team and provide after-hours/rostered weekend CN in charge.
• Coordinate and prioritise the ward’s clinical load and ensure patient advocacy and safety.
