Job summary

Ochre Health Ltd is inviting applications for an experienced Lead Nurse at Buderim Urgent Care Clinic. The role focuses on day-to-day nursing leadership, delivering high‑quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, and mentoring the nursing team alongside clinicians.

The ideal candidate will have current AHPRA registration, ED/RAN experience, triage certification, and strong leadership and communication skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and service improvement.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Recent Emergency Department (ED) or Remote Area Nursing (RAN) experience.
• Triage certification and demonstrated triage experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current BLS certification (ALS highly desirable).
• Ability to work autonomously and confidently manage competing priorities.
• Previous Urgent Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the nursing team.
• Collaborate with doctors and clinicians to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Mentor and guide other nursing staff within a multidisciplinary team.
• Lead and coordinate urgent care services with a focus on patient safety and efficiency.
• Contribute to service improvement and ongoing professional development.
