Job summary

Ryde Hospital, part of Northern Sydney Local Health District, is seeking a dynamic full-time Nurse Screener to join the Integrated Booking Unit and plan the elective surgery journey for patients. You will assess and screen bookings to ensure safe, timely care.

Applicants must be an RN registered with AHPRA, able to assess patients, coordinate pre-operative requirements and communicate effectively with families and the healthcare team. Annual salary is aligned with NSW Health, with a 38-hour week.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated ability to assess patients, identify clinical concerns and escalate as required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills when working with patients, families and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Screen all elective surgery bookings and liaise with stakeholders.
• Coordinate pre-operative requirements and review referrals.
• Ensure safe and timely delivery of care for elective procedures.
