Job summary

Glencore Australia, Mount Isa Mines, is seeking experienced Dump Truck and Water Cart Operators to join the Surface Operations team in Mount Isa.

Residential positions operate 12-hour shifts on a 4 days on, 4 nights on, 4 days off roster, supporting bulk materials handling, road maintenance and other surface activities while maintaining a strong safety culture and site standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Australian manual driver's licence.
• Demonstrated recent dump truck and water cart operating experience is essential.
• Loader operating experience – highly regarded.
• Strong safety focus, work ethic and commitment to site standards.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment and a drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate dump trucks and water carts across site.
• Conduct thorough pre-start inspections and monitor and report equipment condition.
• Maintain a high standard of safety and compliance in all work activities.
• Communicate clearly and positively with supervisors, workmates and other site personnel.
• Work collaboratively with other departments, contractors and teams to achieve operational targets safely.
• Promote a culture of safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The Role

We are seeking experienced Dump Truck and Water Cart Operators who are competent in operating this equipment and are willing to live in, or relocate to, Mount Isa. Reporting to the ISF Shift Supervisor, you will operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently while supporting bulk materials handling, road maintenance and other surface operations across site.

These are residential positions working a rotating 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 days off roster, comprising 12-hour shifts and a 42-hour average week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Safely and efficiently operating dump trucks and water carts across site.
