Job summary
Mount Isa Mines, part of Glencore, seeks experienced Dump Truck and Water Cart Operators to join the Surface Operations team in Mount Isa, Queensland. You will operate mobile equipment safely and support bulk materials handling and road maintenance on site.
Rotating 4 on/4 off, 12-hour shifts, residential role. Applicants must have Australian manual license and recent dump truck and water cart experience; loader experience is an asset. Relocation to Mount Isa may be required.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Australian manual driver’s licence.
- Demonstrated recent dump truck and water cart operating experience is essential.
- Loader operating experience – highly regarded.
- Strong safety focus and commitment to site standards.
- Effective communication and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Must complete pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate dump trucks and water carts across site.
- Conduct pre-start inspections and report equipment condition.
- Maintain high safety and compliance standards in all tasks.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and site personnel.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet operational targets safely.
- Promote safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
