Job summary

Golden Heart Services is seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our growing team across Inner West and Eastern Suburbs locations. This role involves supporting individuals with psychosocial disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and autism in both SIL and community settings.

We are looking for individuals who are calm, emotionally resilient, and committed to delivering person-centred, trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid & CPR certification is required.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver’s licence (strongly preferred)
• Availability across a rotating roster including weekdays and a mix of shift types
• Willingness to work across SIL and Community Participation supports

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional, behavioural, and physical support to participants
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, hygiene, and meal preparation
• Support participants with community access, appointments, and skill-building activities
• Administer medication in line with care plans and training
• Implement positive behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
• Communicate effectively with families, support coordinators, and clinical teams
• Monitor and report changes in participant wellbeing or behaviour
• Promote a safe, consistent, and supportive environment
