Job summary

Golden Heart Services is seeking compassionate Support Workers for Inner West and Eastern Suburbs locations in NSW. The role covers Supported Independent Living (SIL) and community participation, with a casual and part-time mix.

You will provide holistic support to individuals with psychosocial and intellectual disabilities, including ASD, in SIL and community settings, applying trauma-informed, person-centred care and strong documentation practices.

Qualifications

Experience supporting individuals with psychosocial disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
Strong behavioural support and de-escalation skills.
Medication administration competency is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide emotional, behavioural, and physical support to participants
Assist with daily living activities including personal care, hygiene, and meal preparation
Support participants with community access, appointments, and skill-building activities
Administer medication in line with care plans and training
Implement positive behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques
Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
Communicate effectively with families, support coordinators, and clinical teams
Monitor and report changes in participant wellbeing or behaviour
Promote a safe, consistent, and supportive environment
