Job summary

Uniting is seeking a Home Care Worker to provide essential in-home support to elderly clients in the Goonellabah area and surrounding communities. The role is permanent part-time, Monday to Friday, offering flexible hours to support client needs and work-life balance.

You will help with daily tasks, transport clients to activities, and assist with personal care, in a supportive, inclusive environment that values diversity and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in aged or community care preferred.
• Empathetic and resourceful, aligning with Uniting’s values.
• License and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with housekeeping, groceries, and meal preparation.
• Escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities.
• Support with personal care including hygiene, showering, dressing, meals, and medication administration.

About the Role:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in aged or community care is preferred, or a strong desire to begin a career in aged care.
• Empathetic and resourceful, embodying Uniting’s values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
• Flexibility to accommodate the evolving needs and schedules of our clients.
• A provisional or full Australian driving license and access to a comprehensively insured, reliable vehicle.
