Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking a Home Care Worker to provide essential in-home care for elderly clients in and around Dubbo. This permanent part-time role runs Monday to Friday with duties including housekeeping, meal prep, mobility support and medication assistance to empower client independence.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
• Medication Competency Certificate.
• Experience in aged or community care preferred or a strong desire to start a career in aged care.
• Empathetic and resourceful, embodying Uniting’s values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
• Flexibility to accommodate evolving client needs and schedules.
• A provisional or full Australian driving license and access to a comprehensively insured, reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Help at home: Assist with housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
• Transport for wellbeing: Escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities.
• Personal Care: Support with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, meal assistance, and medication administration.

Pay Rate: $36.23 - $37.68 per hour + 99c per km and travel time
