Job summary

Kanda is seeking compassionate care staff in Fremantle to provide direct support to individuals with disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, attend appointments, and document progress while working with a local Manager in the field.

You’ll join a supportive team with paid induction, shadow shifts, ongoing development opportunities, and flexible casual/part-time roles. A valid driver’s licence and NDIs worker screening check are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with varying disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meals, and household tasks.
• Support attendance at medical appointments and community activities.
• Monitor and document client progress and care provided.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
• Contribute to positive behaviour support under supervision.

What you'll be doing

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with varying disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in attending medical appointments, accessing community resources, social inclusion, and wellbeing activities.
• Monitor and document client progress and care provided.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, therapists, and other team members to ensure holistic care.
• Work alongside experienced colleagues to deliver positive behaviour support strategies with confidence.

• You have experience supporting people with disability, including those with complex support needs, or you're confident working in person-centred environments.
• You genuinely enjoy building positive relationships and helping people achieve their goals.
• You're calm, adaptable, and able to work confidently both independently and as part of a team.
• You communicate well, show professionalism, and understand the importance of respect and personal boundaries.
• You're committed to learning, growing your skills, and delivering high‑quality, person-centred support.
• You have a valid unrestricted Driver’s licence and holding NDIS worker screening check or Willing to obtain prior to commencement
