Job summary

Kanda is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker in Ipswich, Queensland. You will work with participants to help them achieve goals, including personal care, daily living tasks, community access, social activities, employment goals and health routines.

A current Australian driver’s licence, Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain them, are essential. You must be available for shifts across a 7-day roster, including a minimum of two

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in disability support, aged care or community services.
• Experience supporting participants with complex needs and behaviours of concern.
• Strong documentation, reporting and incident management skills.
• Ability to work independently and mentor newer team members.

Essential requirements

• A current Australian driver's licence (minimum P2)
• A Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain them.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Rights to work in Australia
• Availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day roster, including the ability to complete a minimum of two sleepover shifts per fortnight. Common roster of care: 8am - 4pm, 4pm -8am (sleepover 10pm-6am).
