Job summary

Kanda is seeking a Disability Support Worker in Australia to help participants achieve personal goals through daily living support, community access, and health routines.

You’ll build caring relationships, document shift notes, and follow each participant’s support plan while enjoying flexible shifts and opportunities for progression within a values-driven team.

Qualifications

• A current Australian driver's licence (minimum P2).
• A Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain them.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Rights to work in Australia.
• Availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day roster.

The role

As a Disability Support Worker, you'll work alongside participants to help them achieve their goals. Day to day, this may include:

• Supporting personal care, daily living and household tasks
• Assisting with community access, social activities and employment goals
• Supporting personal care, manual handling, medication prompts and health routines
• Building positive, respectful relationships with participants and their families
• Documenting shift notes and following each participant's support plan

About you

• No experience required, we'll teach you what you need to know
• A caring, patient and reliable approach, with great communication skills
• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or caring for family is great, but not essential
