Job summary

Wendy's Clean, Care and Support is seeking a Casual Support Worker to join the team across Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Bundaberg. You will provide personal care, companionship, and help with appointments and social events, aiming for a regular schedule of 30+ hours per week with regular clients.

Ideal candidates have aged care or disability support experience, a valid Blue Card and Yellow Card, and a Certificate III or higher in Disabilities or Aged Care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in aged care or disability support.
• Current Blue Card (Working with Children) and Yellow Card (Disability Screening).
• Current Certificate III or higher in Disabilities or Aged Care.
• A valid driver’s licence and access to a clean and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, and grooming
• Provide companionship and support to clients, engaging them in activities and conversation
• Assist with appointments and social events
• Transport assistance
• Liaise with client families and other care professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes
• Follow all health, safety and quality standards to deliver exceptional service
• Availability for Overnights and weekends as well as weekdays

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Wendy's Clean, Care and Support as a Casual Support Worker.

Working in Hervey Bay, QLD 4655 and Maryborough 4650, or Bundaberg 4670, you will be responsible for providing high-quality personal support services to our aged and disability clients.

Casual work with the goal of achieving a regular schedule of 30 plus hours per week with regular clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, and grooming

Provide companionship and support to clients, engaging them in activities and conversation

Assist with appointments and social events

Transport assistance

Liaise with client families and other care professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes

Follow all health, safety and quality standards to deliver exceptional service

Availability for Overnights and weekends as well as weekdays

What We’re Looking For

Energetic, Hardworking, Reliable staff with an openmind and compassionate nature

Previous experience in a similar role with aged care or disability support

Minimum of 1 year experience in aged care or disability support

An understanding and empathetic view for those with mental health struggles

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

A caring, understanding and patient approach when working with vulnerable clients

Excellent time management and organisational abilities to efficiently complete tasks

A valid driver’s licence and access to a clean and reliable vehicle

A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others

Current Cert 3 or higher in Disabilities or Aged Care
