Claro Disability Services in Victoria’s Wonthaggi area is hiring part-time Support Workers to assist clients with complex needs. You’ll work Fridays and Saturdays during daytime hours, totaling 10+ hours per week, focusing on mobility, daily tasks, and meaningful social activities.

You’ll collaborate with families and clinical teams to tailor supports to each client’s goals, values, and routines, always upholding dignity, consent, and independence.

What you’ll do

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
• Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being

Who we’re looking for

• Experience with: Severe Dysphagia, Catheter Management, Bowel Management, Mobility support, Personal Care, Community Access, Communication Support, Epilepsy and TBI
• A person-centered, warm, patient, and genuinely caring soul.
• Interest or experience in complex care, disability, and health nuances.
• Great communicator: listens well, reads cues, and adapts to different styles.
• Reliable and professional, with good notetaking and teamwork.
• Flexible and adaptable; comfortable with changing needs and shifts.
• Values fit: Bring Energy, Nurture and Care, Act with Integrity, Listen and Connect in action.
• Optional but nice: Manual handling, epilepsy management, or disability-support training.
