Job summary

Claro Disability Services is seeking casual disability support workers to assist across six sites in Lyndhurst, Bonbeach and Carrum. You’ll support clients with complex needs, focusing on mobility, daily tasks, and meaningful activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered planning and support aligned with client goals and routines.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks and devices as outlined in care plans.
• Monitor health status, follow clinical plans, and liaise with care team as needed.
• Foster social engagement and community participation for clients.
• Support autonomy, respect consent, and promote independence where possible.
• Respect diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and cultural values.

What you’ll do

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
• Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being
