Job summary

Claro Disability Services is seeking passionate Personal Care support workers for Southeast Melbourne sites. You’ll work with people with complex needs in daily routines, mobility, and social activities, building tailored supports around each client’s goals, values, and culture.

Responsibilities

• Chat with client and family to understand goals and routines.

• am/pm/sleepover shifts

What you’ll do

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
• Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being

Who we’re looking for

• Additional competencies required: Manual Handling/ceiling hoist experience, Challenging Behaviour, PEG feed experience
