Job summary

Claro Disability Services is hiring a Support Worker for Gippsland Accommodation. You will work with clients with complex needs, supporting mobility, daily routines and community participation. Sleepover shifts and flexible hours are possible, with induction and ongoing clinical support.

Responsibilities

• Support decision-making and independence, respecting consent.
• Respect and adapt to client backgrounds, beliefs and cultures.

What you’ll do

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
• Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being

Who we’re looking for

• Reliable and professional, with good notetaking and teamwork.

• Experience with medication administration, manual handling and mental health are essential
• Experience with behaviours, acquired brain injury, dysphagia will be highly regarded
