Job summary

Interaction Disability Services in Sydney is seeking dedicated Support Workers to assist people with disability across accommodation and community settings. You will help with daily living activities, personal care, community participation and goal attainment, working with families and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, person-centred supports.

The role requires reliability, empathy and flexibility across shifts, with a focus on promoting independence, dignity and choice.

In this rewarding role you will support participants with daily living activities, personal care, community participation, skill development, health and wellbeing and the achievement of individual goals. You will work collaboratively with families and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, person-centred supports.

  • Have experience supporting people living with disability.
  • Demonstrate resilience, patience and a calm approach when supporting complex needs.
  • Willingness to support participants with all activities of daily living.
  • Be committed to promoting independence, choice and dignity.
  • Work flexibly across a variety of shifts.
  • Contribute positively to a team environment and work independently.
  • Adhere to support plans and organisational procedures.
  • Be reliable, accountable and committed to providing high-quality support.
Candidate Requirements
  • Flexibility and availability to work across a range of shifts.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Certificate III, Certificate IV or Diploma in sector preferred or a willingness to obtain.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment.
  • Current drivers license and a comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment.
