Disability Support Worker - Make a Difference in Your Community

My Supports is an organisation led by people with firsthand experience in disability. As a Disability Support Worker, you'll join a vibrant local Neighbourhood Team with a close-knit group of fellow support workers, all led by an experienced Team Leader.

Our Team Leaders offer day-to-day support and guidance, collaborating with you to understand our clients' needs. This approach helps us deliver person-centred, community-inclusive supports.

Our client is a young man and seeking a male Support Worker, aged between 25 to 35 years old in the Goulburn area who can provide a role model attitude.

We currently have 3 hours per week available for Community Based Social activities, with the potential to grow.

About You

We are looking for people with a passion for making a difference, regardless of experience. You will bring:

  • An enthusiastic and friendly outlook.
  • A compassionate and empathetic demeanour.
  • Strong listening and communication skills, along with patience.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to maintain clear professional boundaries.

Experience with personal care or challenging behaviours is beneficial but not required. We encourage individuals with lived experience or a desire to make a positive impact to apply.

  • Flexibility & Paid Shifts: If a shift is cancelled within 48 hours and we can't find you another shift, you still get paid.
  • Higher than award rates–A two-hour shift attracts an average $38.00 – $39.26 rate per hour and we pay a higher sleepover shift allowance too!
  • Additional Earnings: Kilometre reimbursement, shift penalties for afternoons, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Complex Care Allowance: Additional pay for working with high-intensity clients.
