Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking caring individuals to support older Australians at home across Sydney and surrounding areas. You will travel to clients, assist with daily tasks, transport to appointments, prepare meals, and provide social support to carers, in a varied and rewarding role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support clients with in-home daily tasks such as cleaning, tidying, and laundry.
• Transport clients to appointments and shopping.
• Meal preparation and dietary support.
• Provide social support and respite for family carers.
• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified).

We are looking for passionate and caring individuals to make a difference in our clients' lives by assisting them to live at home independently for as long as possible. You will be travelling around where you live and surrounding suburbs in a varied and rewarding role - no two days will be the same!!

Day to day role looks like:

• Supporting and connecting with our clients assisting with day to day in home tasks - cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client's care plan
• Transport to appointments and shopping
• Meal preparation
• Social Support or Respite for family/carers
• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

• A genuine passion for providing high quality care to the older Australian's in the community
• To be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• Good communication skills
• To be a reliable team player
• To have an understanding of workplace health and safety
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential)
• An Australian driver's licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential)
