Job summary

Ability Options is seeking experienced Support Workers to join the Accommodation team at Bolwarra, NSW. This permanent part-time role supports participants with daily living, transport to events and administrative tasks, with training and career development opportunities.

Base site Bolwarra, NSW; remuneration is $36.22 per hour plus Superannuation, salary packaging and penalty rates. A current driver licence, First Aid certification, and a Certificate 3 in Individual Support are essential.

Responsibilities

We are on the lookout for experienced Support Workers to join the Accommodation team at Bolwarra!

The Role

Base Site: Bolwarra, NSW (some travel required across multiple sites)

Employment: Permanent Part-Time

Remuneration: $36.22 per hour + Super + Salary Packaging + Penalty rates

Responsibilities

• Helping participants explore their interests and hobbies through range of programs and recreational activities.


• Transporting participants to events and appointments.


• Admin duties such as completing progress notes, charts and incidental reports.


• Providing personal care including toileting, showering, dressing and feeding as required.

Essential Criteria

• Ability and willingness to provide personal care and support activities of daily living in a residential setting


• High level of resilience and emotional intelligence


• Strong communication skills and demonstrated flexibility in methods of alternative and augmentative communication, particularly being able to use active listening skills


• Current driver licence (minimum P2)


• Satisfactory background checks including NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain)


• Valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)


• Have personal mobile device that meets our system requirements which is typically a device released in the last three years.


• Certificate 3 in Individual Support or related (desirable)
