Job summary

Apollo Care Alliance's Tenterfield Care Centre is seeking a Casual Cleaning and Laundry team member to support weekday night operations across Millrace and Haddington homes. You will maintain cleanliness, handle laundry, and uphold infection control standards to support residents' wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• NDIS Workers Screen is mandatory.
• Understanding of Resident Rights and Aged Care Accreditation Standards is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining legislated safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
• Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and living areas.
• Cleaning communal and dining areas.
• Cleaning and sorting laundry.
• Maintaining adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap, and other cleaning and hygiene supplies.
• Adhering to infection control principles and WHS requirements including chemical storage and facility schedules.
• Completing required documentation and reporting.
• Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks.
• Distribution of meals to residents and assisting the chef with meal preparation and kitchen duties.
• Dining room services and providing excellent personalised service to residents.
• Ensure duties are performed in accordance with Infection Control and Food Safety Handling Standards.
• Ensure a high standard and quality of cleanliness throughout the organisation.
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment.
• Completion of documentation.

Our Support Services staff are integral to the wellbeing of our residents, delivering high-quality services. We are currently looking for a Casual Cleaning, & Laundry staff to join our team who are passionate about making a difference.

What You Will Do

• Completing required documentation and reporting

Catering

• Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks
• Distribution of meals to residents, assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen duties
• Dining room services
• Providing excellent personalised service to our residents
• Ensure duties are performed in accordance with Infection Control and Food Safety Handling Standards
• Ensure a high standard and quality of cleanliness throughout the organisation.
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment.
• Completion of documentation

What You Will Bring

• Experience gained in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Currently hold and maintain a NDIS Workers Screen (or willing to obtain) - Mandatory
• An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes is highly regarded but not essential
