Job summary

The NSW ICAC is seeking a permanent, full-time finance support officer to work as part of a team delivering day-to-day financial services, including processing payments to agreement holders and assisting in management reports, budgets and forecasts.

The role offers a 35-hour week, flex time and the possibility to work from home two days per week, subject to operational requirements. Salary is AUD 95,000 to 105,331 plus superannuation and leave loading.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable or a similar role and knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience in procurement administration.
• Experience in supporting changes to accounting systems and processes.
• Proactive, adaptable, multi-tasking and able to meet competing deadlines.
• Attention to detail, analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse people including internal and external stakeholders.
• Advanced computer literacy including SUN and MS Excel and adapting to NSW government finance policies.

The purpose of this role is to work as part of a team supporting the delivery of day-to-day financial services which includes processing payments to agreement holders, assisting in the preparation of management reports, budgets, and forecasts, as providing other financial support services to a range of stakeholders.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Annual salary is $95,000 to $105,331, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading (currently 17.5%).

Candidates will be assessed against the following essential requirements:

• Experience in accounts payable or a similar role and knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience in procurement administration.
• Experience in supporting changes to accounting systems and processes.
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive, adaptable, multi-task, and identify and negotiate competing deadlines.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, analysis, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse people, including internal customers, colleagues and external providers and stakeholders.
• Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in systems such as SUN and MS Excel, with a demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to NSW government finance and purchasing policies and practices.
