Job summary

The NSW ICAC invites applications for Senior Investigator (multiple positions) to lead investigations into corrupt conduct within the NSW public sector. Permanent, full-time role based in Sydney CBD with flexible start/finish times and hybrid work options.

Annual salary range $133,901 to $149,037 plus employer’s 12% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading. Mission-driven organisation with a strong culture of integrity and accountability.

Qualifications

• Significant experience investigating alleged serious offences, including fraud, and/or public sector misconduct.
• Good understanding of criminal law, rules of evidence, criminal procedures and the ICAC Act 1988.
• Well-developed planning and organisational abilities, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to write well and communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds and levels.

Senior Investigator - multiple positions

Let’s talk about the opportunity

The purpose of this role is to work within a multi-disciplinary team to lead investigations into allegations of corrupt conduct in the performance of the Commission’s principal functions. This is a permanent, full-time position. Annual salary is $133,901 to $149,037 (which includes overtime allowance), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading (currently 17.5%). We are recruiting for multiple positions, and a talent pool will be created for future permanent and temporary positions.

Essential requirements

• Significant experience investigating alleged serious offences, including fraud, and/or public sector misconduct.
• A good understanding of criminal law, rules of evidence, criminal procedures and the Independent Commission Against Corruption Act 1988.
• Well-developed planning and organisational abilities, problem solving and analytical skills and experience using investigative analytics software.
• Demonstrated ability to write well and the ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse background, occupation, and seniority, both internal and external to the Commission.
