Job summary

Link Wentworth is seeking an AP/AR professional to manage end-to-end financial workflows for a high-volume processing team based in Penrith, NSW. You will handle invoices, payments, reconciliations and cash–flow tasks in line with organisational policies and applicable legislation.

With at least 2 years in accounts payable or receivable and solid knowledge of accounting principles, you will work with Dynamics 365 (desirable) and collaborate with internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
  • Experience with high volume processing
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with accounting software packages (Dynamics 365 desirable)
  • Knowledge of the Community Housing sector is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Processing and reconciling invoices in line with policies
  • Preparing and issuing payments to vendors
  • Creditor statement reconciliations and EFT/BPAY/cheque runs
  • Cash receipting, invoicing and debtor reconciliations
  • Credit card transaction processing and reconciliation
  • Tenant bond lodgements and reconciliations
  • Accounts receivable monitoring and follow-up on outstanding payments
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and filing
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end activities
  • Support for financial analysis and reporting tasks
  • Staying updated on AP/AR best practices

Job description

  • Enjoy shorter full-time work week (35 hours)
  • Based in Penrith

The objective of this role is to accurately and efficiently manage the end-to-end workflows for a high volume of financial transactions being processed by the team.This includes processing transactions on a timely basis in alignment with Link Wentworth's policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing and reconciling invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures and applicable legislation
  • Preparing and issuing payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement
  • Preparation of creditor statement reconciliations and EFT, BPAY, and cheque payment runs
  • Cash receipting, invoicing, and preparing debtor reconciliations
  • Credit card transaction processing and reconciliation
  • Handling tenant bond lodgements and reconciliations
  • Monitoring and managing accounts receivable, following up on outstanding payments and resolving any discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including proper documentation and filing
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to resolve any payment or invoicing issues
  • Assisting in month-end and year-end financial closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting
  • Providing support to the finance team in various financial analysis and reporting tasks
  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices related to accounts payable and receivable processes

Qualifications & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting and/or Administration is desirable, but not essential
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable role with experience in high volume processingStrong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Experience and proficiency using accounting software packages is essential, Dynamics 365 is desirable
  • Knowledge of the Community Housing sector is desirable, but not essential
