Qualifications

• Experience managing availability and reliability of ICT infrastructure.

Working Arrangement: Hybrid (initially full-time onsite for 3 months, followed by potential hybrid arrangements)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking two experienced Support Field Infrastructure Engineers to support the Department of Home Affairs in delivering reliable, secure, and efficient ICT infrastructure services.

The successful candidates will provide technical expertise across infrastructure operations, systems design, incident management, infrastructure changes, and data centre support. They will work closely with project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure infrastructure deliverables meet operational requirements, project timelines, and relevant government standards.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Skills and Experience

• Complex infrastructure installation, de-installation, and handover

• Working within structured ICT governance and project management frameworks.
• Knowledge of Commonwealth government standards, policies, and procedures.

Working Arrangements

Successful candidates must work onsite full-time for the first three months, or until they have developed a sufficient understanding of the department's ICT environment and project requirements. Hybrid arrangements may be considered afterward, subject to departmental approval. A minimum of three onsite days per week will apply.
