Selectability in Longreach is seeking a Support Coordinator to help participants navigate the NDIS and maximise their plans.

You will coordinate services, engage stakeholders, and empower participants to lead their lives with confidence. A team environment and strong communication are essential.

The role is casual, based in Longreach, with an hourly rate of $45.28–$58.38 plus super, and benefits including salary packaging, fitness passport, flexible working arrangements, and EAP.

About the role

As a Support Coordinator, you will work closely with participants to navigate the NDIS and interpret their individual packages; it is your role to ensure they are getting the most out of their NDIS plans.

Key responsibilities of a Support Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting and empowering participants to make their own choices as to how they want to lead their lives
• Coordinating a variety of services for participants to support them to live fulfilling and meaningful lives within the community
• Engaging with and managing participants key stakeholders (including government agencies, community and clinical service providers and families), ensuring that the supports and services are leveraged, not duplicated
• Working with participants to strengthen their ability to coordinate their own supports to live their best life

About you

To be successful you must:

• Possess a working knowledge of the NDIS (is desirable)
• Excellent communication skills
• Commitment to best practice
• Experience working in a team environment
• Ability to quickly and effectively engage recipients
• Ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities & individuals

Role Requirements

• Certificate IV in Mental Health (desirable)
• Current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland driver’s licence
• Currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive insured vehicle
• Current nationally recognised First Aid and CPR certificates (ability to obtain)
• Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (ability to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (ability to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
