Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Supply Support Officer to deliver supply support and provisioning for Defence maritime programs. You will analyse spares and inventory data to enhance operational readiness and sustainment across complex maritime environments.

You will collaborate with engineers, project teams, maintainers, and stakeholders to develop provisioning strategies, manage logistics data, and provide practical supply chain solutions that maximise platform availability and support outcomes.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), SSA, or logistics management.
• Knowledge of provisioning, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
• Understanding of Defence sustainment, maintenance, or engineering support environments.
• Experience working with logistics, ERP, or Defence information systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and interpret complex data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders.
• Australian citizenship and a minimum Baseline security clearance (NV1 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct supply support analysis to determine provisioning and spares requirements.
• Develop and maintain supply support documentation and logistics data.
• Analyse equipment usage, maintenance, and reliability data to support inventory decisions.
• Manage codification activities, including the identification and maintenance of stock numbers.
• Support the development of inventory and warehousing strategies.
• Maintain accurate logistics records within Defence and enterprise systems.
• Liaise with engineering, maintenance, and project teams to ensure support requirements are understood and achieved.
• Coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve supply chain issues.
• Identify risks relating to obsolescence, availability, and supply continuity.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of supportability and sustainment outcomes.

Tell me about this role:

As a Supply Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring Defence capability is supported throughout its lifecycle. Working within a complex maritime environment, you will contribute to the development and delivery of supply support solutions that maximise operational readiness, platform availability, and sustainment effectiveness.

You will work closely with engineers, project teams, maintainers, and stakeholders to analyse support requirements, develop provisioning strategies, manage logistics data, and deliver practical supply chain solutions.
