Job summary

Downer Professional Services in Canberra is seeking an Integrated Logistics Support Manager to lead Defence logistics, sustainment and transition-to-service programs. You will work across the TTAM Project capability lifecycle delivering ILS artefacts, analyses and sustainment documentation.

This role requires hands-on experience in Defence ILS, strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to coordinate across Defence, industry partners and external groups to ensure project success and

Qualifications

• Experience in Defence ILS, logistics management, or sustainment within a defence context.
• Ability to develop, review and manage Defence ILS documentation and analyses.
• Strong understanding of acquisition, sustainment, certification, acceptance and transition-to-service processes.
• Ability to analyse complex logistics issues and provide practical recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration across Defence and industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and delivery of ILS activities across project lifecycles.
• Develop and maintain ILS artefacts, supportability products and sustainment documentation.
• Provide specialist logistics and sustainment advice to support readiness and transitions.

Join our Downer Professional Servicesteam and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.

Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

We currently have an opportunity for an Integrated Logistics Support Manager in Canberra to work on Defence logistics, sustainment and transition-to-service projects.

What You'll Do

These roles offer a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of Integrated Logistics Support activities across the TTAM Project capability lifecycle.
• Develop, review and maintain ILS artefacts, supportability products, logistics support analysis outputs and sustainment documentation.
• Provide specialist logistics and sustainment advice to support capability readiness, transition-to-service and long-term sustainment outcomes.
• Work closely with project, engineering, acquisition and sustainment stakeholders to support governance, risk management, reporting and project delivery activities.
• Coordinate across Defence organisations, industry partners and external stakeholders to resolve logistics issues and support successful project outcomes

What You'll Bring

These role responsibilities include:

• Demonstrated experience in Defence Integrated Logistics Support, logistics management, sustainment management or a related Defence project environment.
• Experience developing, reviewing and managing Defence ILS documentation, artefacts and logistics support analysis products.
• Strong understanding of Defence acquisition, sustainment, technical certification, acceptance and transition-to-service processes.
• Proven ability to analyse complex logistics and sustainment issues, provide practical recommendations and manage competing priorities independently.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills, with experience working across Defence, industry and external stakeholder groups.

Due to the nature of the work, the successful applicant must be an Australian citizen and hold and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance, as required by the Commonwealth. In some cases, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) may also be required.
