Job summary

Access Aged Care on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to provide on-site care within Residential Aged Care Homes.

Weekday hours only, no after-hours, weekends or on-call requirements, with after-hours support available. You will conduct regular weekly rounds for a stable resident cohort, supported by an Access Aged Care Nurse and telehealth geriatrics specialists to aid decision-making and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Specialist Registration as a General Practitioner.
• RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship required (or nearing completion).
• Availability of 1-2 days per week, with opportunity to increase.
• Comfortable with technology and common clinical software.
• Personal laptop required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site GP care within Residential Aged Care Homes on the Sunshine Coast.
• Perform regular weekly rounds and build long-term relationships with residents and care teams.
• Coordinate care plans with nursing staff and telehealth specialists.
• Collaborate with telehealth geriatricians and specialists for complex cases.
• Maintain efficient, compliant clinical documentation.
