Job summary

East Gippsland Shire Council is seeking a Lifeguard and Customer Service Officer for the Orbost Outdoor Pool. This casual seasonal role involves supervising pool patrons and delivering high-quality reception and telephone service, supporting daily customer service operations.

The 2026/27 season runs 1 November 2026 to 15 March 2027. On-site, with varied hours across mornings, days, evenings and weekends, it requires an Employee Working with Children Check, First Aid/CPR and a current Lifeguard

The Opportunity:

As a Lifeguard and Customer Service Officer, you’ll superviseall patrons in the pool to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment. You’ll beresponsible for providing a high level of quality service at reception and overthe telephone. You’ll also be part of various daily activities involved in the day-to-daycustomer service operations.

This is a casual position, with varied,seasonal hours during the Orbost Outdoor Pool’s opening season. For the 2026/27 season the pool will be open from 1 November 2026 - 15 March 2027.

We’re looking for someone who can:

You must have the following qualifications/licenses before you start:

Applicants must be at least 16 yearsold and legally able to work in Australia.
